I hope everyone enjoyed their winter holiday break! Happy New Year to you all! 
Our second graders in room 6 are back into the swing of things. We are starting off the 2012 year with great energy, positive attitudes, and fun learning. Please continue to support your child at home with reading and math skills everyday!
I am looking forward to seeing every child in room 6 continue to grow this year and will help support them the whole way through with anything they need. I am so proud of each student and encourage them every day to always do their very best effort!

Our first 2 weeks together have been wonderful! We have enjoyed getting to know each other through various activities in and out of our classroom. I have learned so much already about the kids in room 6 and look forward to many fantastic experiences this year with each of them.
I want to thank all of the parents who came to our Back to School Night. It is always great to see the grown up faces of my little ones I see everyday. I look forward to working as a team with all of you this year.
Goal setting conferences will be held during the week of September 19. Please remember to fill out the form that was sent home in the homework packet with your requested times and return it to me as soon as possible.

Welcome back to school!
I hope everyone had a wonderful summer break. I always enjoy my summer with plenty of days at the beach and many fun times with family and friends. I hope all of you were also able to relax, enjoy the sunshine, and share some fun times with others. Now, can you believe a new school year is already here? Though the summer goes by fast, I am so excited and ready to start another year and meet my new students.
We start school on Monday, August 15th. I look forward to seeing new 2nd grade faces entering room 6 and will hopefully meet some of you on the first day too. If not, do not worry, hopefully I will see you at our back to school night on Thursday, Aug 25th.
